The Partnerships Forum is an annual collaborative networking and learning event which showcases international health partnerships between health organisations in Ireland and various partners in the Global South. The 5th ESTHER Ireland Partnerships Forum took place on November 11, 2020. The two-hour online event “A Bright Future for Health Partnerships” brought together a small group of committed individuals who work within health links.
In recognition of the incredible work done by ESTHER Ireland affiliated partnerships, two winners of the the Unsung Hero Award were also announced:
- Dr. Elenia Macamo Amado, Consultant Obstetrician, Maputo Central Hospital, Mozambique – Health Service Executive – Mozambique Ministry of Health Partnership
2. Dr. Sami Ahmed, Retired Consultant Paediatrician – Cork University Maternity Hospital-Omdurman Maternity Hospital Partnership
The award paid tribute to their hard work and unshakeable commitment to their respective health partnerships.
